Fun to hear you speak of my grandmother (your great grandmother, Ethel) I referred to her as MiMi. Spent many summers in Morongo Valley with her growing up.
Oh wow. Cool! I don't believe I ever met her--mostly all I know comes from a stack of old postcards I found amongst my dad's things. Many of which were from her time in Morongo Valley. My dad used to refer to her "place in the desert," which added a special sort of mystique (to me, anyhow). Thanks, Gary!
